1989 partial ban-
In the year 1989, a partial ban was imposed on the manufacturing, importing, processing, and distribution of any sort of tar on basement floor. Also, it prevented the entry of new asbestos products into the marketplace.
April 2019 restrictions-

December 2020 evaluation-
The research showed unreasonable risks to human health for all ongoing uses of chrysotile asbestos. Therefore, more restrictions were issued. It was the final risk evaluation for asbestos usage. After that, the authority moved towards complete restrictions on asbestos. Homeowners are supposed to choose a legal asbestos abatement process to avoid any health risks.
April 2022 proposed ban-
Finally, after lots of studies, research, and evaluations, EPA decided to issue a proposed ban on all types of asbestos usage. According to the asbestos removal experts, if it is implemented, the lives of the workers and their families will be saved. This rule will prohibit manufacturing and importing and any kind of use, or distribution of asbestos. Indeed it will be a major decision taken by EPA.
